Alley with Allure: Loolaan
The Loolaan was first a small path to a church, but later it became a grand avenue with two rows of linden trees. It goes from the center of Apeldoorn to Het Loo Palace.
Along this street, you can see nice houses, modern apartments, statues, two churches, and even a bunker.

Starting point: Corner of Loolaan and Piet Joubertstraat (near the old Noorderkerk).
Duration: About 1.5 hours.
Price: €5 per person, €4 for children (4-12 years). Minimum booking price: €35.

The Loolaan is a great place for parades and parties. Many have happened here, and your guide will tell you about them.

Every building on this street has its own story. The guide will tell you how this place is linked to the Dutch royal family, the two nursing homes that started here, and why people once called it the “Avenue of Medici” (like in Florence). Many doctors lived here in the past.
Did you know that people with houses closer to the palace were more important?

What do you know about the King’s School, the Villa with the Geese, and the horse tram? And what is an allee? The guide will tell you all about this and more during the walk.
With pictures, stories, and interesting facts, everything will be explained in a simple way. The guide will also show photos and share fun facts.
